It’s another Jennifer Garner day today with her 2004 film 13 Going on 30. It’s a little bit of Big mixed with The Wizard of Oz and not quite to the level of those films, but it’s still a fun little romantic comedy with some interesting performances.

If I’ve come away with one thing over the course of this month’s challenge, it’s that Jennifer Garner is much better suited to leading romantic or family comedies than action films. If you recall back to the beginning of the month, we saw Garner in two movies back to back in Daredevil and Elektra. The first one was a supporting, but prominent, role and the second was the lead. She was better in the lead in Elektra, but still think her best portrayal of this particular role was in Deadpool & Wolverine this summer. When I compare those roles to Yes Day and 13 Going on 30, she just seems much more comfortable in the films where she is able to let her personality out and smile and laugh a bit.
